Nigeria: Ondo Governor Akeredolu Names Commissioners

Ondo State governor Rotimi Akeredolu has forwarded a list of commissioner-nominees to the House.

As much awaited, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, on Tuesday, forwarded a list of 18 commissioner- nominees to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

Mr Segun Ajiboye, Chief Press Secretary to the governor made this known in a statement in Akure.

According to him, the governor’s action was in accordance with section 192 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).

“The commissioner-nominees are: Mr Taofiq Abdulsalam- Akoko North-East; Mr Rasheed Badmus-Akoko North-West; Prince Solagbade Amodeni-Akoko South-East; Chief Adegboyega Adefarati-Akoko South-West; Saka Ogunleye- Akure-North.

“Others include Mrs Omowumi Olatunji-Edet – Akure-South; Ojogo Donald- Ese-Odo; Yemi Olowolabi- Idanre; Dr Wahab Adegbenro- Ifedore; Funso Esan- Ilaje; Wale Akinterinwa- Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo.

“Also, Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan-Irele; Alhaji Olurimisi Ismaila- Odigbo; Femi Agagu-Okitipupa; Prof. Bayonle Ademodi- Ondo East; Lola Fagbemi- Ondo-West; Chief Timilehin Adelegbe- Ose and Kola Olawoye- Owo,” he said.
